Written by All Athletes travelling overseas for international tournaments or training are advised to obtain travel insurance. NZ Wrestling recommends that all NZ Wrestling athletes use Meridian Insurance Brokers.
NZOC has appointed Dave Allan (Meridian Account Manager) to continue to handle the Travel Insurance for their affiliated sporting bodies and athletes in general.
Policy Process
1. Athletes or managers are to make contact with Dave Allan by email dave@meridianbrokers.co.nz ph 04 499 1515. Ask for a premium quote covering an individual or team travelling overseas.
2. Information initially required is the number of people to be covered, the date of departure and return to NZ and where they are travelling to.
3. Dave Allan will respond by email with costs for the cover, if this is in order then, upon receipt of your instructions and the team names, will email a Policy and Invoice.
One of the most important features of the Policy is it includes cover for medical costs incurred for injury whilst competing and training.
