Canterbury Championships at AMI Center Rangiora on the 4th & 5th of September.
Styles include Mens & Womens Freestyle, Mens Greco and Mens & Womens Grappling Gi and Non-Gi.
Wrestling New Zealand offers the following wrestling codes:
- Olympic Freestyle Wrestling (Official Rules)
- Greco-Roman Wrestling
- International Grappling (Official Rules)
All Wrestlers and Grapplers must be familiar with drug testing requirements and the current sports anti-doping rules. See the Drug Free Sport NZ website for information or to check if your medication is on the banned list.

Wrestling & Grappling Mats
Fight Times would like to advise we are taking indent orders on our next container of interlocking mats. We have, over the years, identified that the 4cm soft centred interlocking mats are the right density and consistency to go under a cover for wrestling training or competition. The last container has sold out but we have offcut samples available if you want one. To keep the price down we import full containers from the manufacturer and are accepting enquiries and indent orders for the next shipment. The shipment would arrive approximately 8 weeks from ordering so early ordering is essential.
